NEW! Grower post-harvest handling resources
In collaboration with Dani Zwischenberger of the Kentucky Horticulture Council, we’ve been working on creating post-harvest handling factsheets for growers to reference. These factsheets are one page with a lot of photos and can be displayed as posters for farm crew to reference.
Factsheets are now available on the Center for Crop Diversification’s Produce Food Safety page and linked below:
NEW! Summer 2024 YouTube videos
This 10-minute video covers the Dos and Don’ts of Commercial Tomato Harvest and Storage. It discusses the preparation needed for harvest, how to harvest and sort, as well as post-harvest considerations for tomatoes. It was created to assist commercial produce growers and could also be used for farm crew training. The video is available in English and Spanish at the following links:
